“We were looking to create a kitchen extension that feels simple, open and easy to live in. The main aim was to bring the kitchen and living areas together into one cohesive space where everything flows naturally”

Kitchen Extension Design
We were approached with this kitchen extension design project in Bristol that had a focus on simple, open-plan solutions. The ideas and images the client provided us with inspired us to create a minimal kitchen design that would allow our walnut cabinets to take centre stage in the space.
Subtle, considered design cues were woven through the build, including the square reeded end panel on the island and the unbroken handle inlay on the lower cabinets. A small open-shelved bookcase was added to guide the transition from the kitchen area into the living space, and conceal underfloor heating pipes.
Materials
We worked with high-quality, sustainable materials throughout the build. FSC-certified timber was used exclusively, finished with OSMO wax oil for durability and a natural sheen.
The Outcome
This project is a strong reflection of our approach to bespoke kitchen design, where thoughtful detailing and restrained design work together to create a calm, functional space. The layout was shaped around open-plan living, with the walnut cabinetry forming a warm, architectural focal point throughout.
Subtle joinery details and seamless transitions between zones were key to the success of the space, allowing the kitchen to sit comfortably within the wider living area. Every design decision was made with longevity and practicality in mind, resulting in a refined yet welcoming environment that supports everyday life while showcasing the beauty of considered craftsmanship.
